I would like to talk about my action plan for SDGs society.
This is today’s table of contents.
First, I will introduce the SDGs I chose and why. Afterward, I explain Japan’s issues and achievement status. Finally, I would like to convey what we can do today.

First, which SDGs I choose?
I chose No.11, Sustainable cities and society. Why did I choose this topic?
Because, although Kyoto ranks highly in the SDGs progress rankings, I heard that there are still issues that remain, so I was curious about what those issues are.

What is the problem Japan faces?
Kyoto is overcrowding, the outflow of human resources from countryside. Especially in the city, buses had many issues. For example, erratic bus schedules, bus congestion, and reckless driving.

Do you know ITS?
The Intelligent Transport Systems (hereafter called ITS) is intended for advances in navigation systems, establishment of electronic toll collection, assistance for safe driving,
optimization of traffic management and increasing efficiency in road management by
building an integrated system of people, roads and vehicles utilizing advanced data communication technologies.
ITS was introduced to buses. The city's buses had many issues, but the introduction of ITS has enabled secure cashless payments, GPS support for punctual bus operation, and optimization of bus routes and schedules.
Therefore, you will no longer be disrupted by irregular bus schedules, and you can consider paying with cash or other means of payment by using ITMS.
Moreover, we have another system IMTS.
The Intelligent Multimode Transit System was developed by TOYOTA in Japan. This system has enabled unmanned operation, automatic operation of tracks for keep a same distance between oneself and the car ahead.
IMTS has collision prevention function using by radiocommunication

Lastly, what can we do today for our future?
I have two ideas which are volunteer and leverage technology. Tell your friends and neighbors and spread the word about those function. It might be difficult to explain or introduce those function, but it’s fine. You can just recommend those function of buses and it will connect all great things such as your friend’s satisfactions when they are using buses. In addition, you also become happier because you taught knowledge to your friends. Then, you and your friends use buses using by ITS and IMTS more than before.
It must be helpful for everyone’s lives, and it will be safer in the future with those function.
