This time I am going to write about my action plan.
First, I will be going to explain what’s the different between the Japan and Cambodia. I choose two topics that are the most different between Japan and Cambodia, which are ‘poverty’ and ‘industry’. About the poverty everyone knows that Cambodia has bad economy, also has a high ranking on the poorest country in the world. Only say they are poor, but we don’t know how much they poor. So let me give the number of the GDP of Cambodia, they’re only have 8062 dollar per year, exchange to Japanese yen is about 8.5 million. But Japan’s GDP was about 5117 billion dollars in 2019. About the economics has big variation. Also because of poverty there has many problems happened in Cambodia. For example, child labor, human trafficking, stray child and so on. The most serious problem is ‘child labor’. Because of children’s parents can’t earn many countries, but they have many kids if they want to feed them, they only have one way which is let the oldest child go to work and get the money to help family.
The second difference is ‘industry’. Cambodia’s three largest industries are textiles, tourism and agriculture. Those industries actually very easy to earn the money, but why Cambodia’s economics still not good? That’s because Cambodia’s labor cost is very low and because of declining agriculture incomes, increased medical expenses and rising debt are not only have a negative impact on adult also for children as a result. The major problems are street children, child labor, human trafficking and theft by children. That’s the reason that why they look like have prosperity industry but they still “poor” have bad economics. And food production in the country is not enough. The effects of the long-lasting civil war and dictatorship also is the reason that made Cambodia can’t improve their industry.
Last is my action plan. What can I do for Cambodia. The most problem is child labor. What can we do is try to fix the Cambodia’s economics. For example, we can buy some products which are made in Cambodia, when we buy the products, we can check the country of origin at the backside of package. Make Cambodian can earn the money. When they have money, the parents might be let the children go to school or chase their dream.
