The issue of poverty is one that I have known since I was a small child and has been around for many years.Economic disparities are widening not only among countries but also within countries.I learned through　sdgs training this time that many efforts are being made around the world and in Japan to address this issue.However, I realized that I was hardly involved in those activities.That realization led me to two main things we can do to end poverty.
　First of all,It is to participate in activities for the poor that are already taking place.In today's information society, it is becoming easier and easier to obtain information on such activities.It is difficult to start a big project on your own, but it is possible to participate in existing activities if you have the heart to want to help.For example, there are fair trade activities to help those who are receiving wages that are not deserved for their labor.We can contribute to efforts to alleviate poverty simply by buying Fair Trade products. You can easily find Fairtrade products because they are labeled with the Fairtrade symbol.This activity is just one of the efforts to abolish poverty in the world. Many other organizations are working in various ways. It is not necessary for everyone to do the same thing, but I think it is most important to find something you are easily involved in and take action
　Of course it is important to cooperate with activities that are already taking place, but I believe that alone it is impossible to eliminate poverty.Those of us who do not suffer from poverty and are able to lead affluent lives should continue to think of better actions to alleviate poverty. I believe that I have a role to play not only in thinking about it but also in communicating it to as many people as possible.This is because nothing is perfect in the activities taking place right now.Taking the aforementioned fair trade as an example, there is the problem that the cost of certification makes the money for products more expensive.The problem makes it difficult for consumers to afford it.These problems cannot be noticed if I am satisfied with the activities being conducted.It is necessary to always have doubts about whether there are any inadequacies in our efforts to eliminate poverty while we are working to do so.What I can do to recognize inefficiencies and improve on them is to always have information about the current state of poverty and activities to address it. It is necessary not only to learn about the poverty problem once, but always to do it in different ways and to have an awareness of doubts.I believe that by gaining a multifaceted perspective on the issue of poverty in this way, one will be able to propose actions in the future that make use of the reflections of the past.And if these proposals spread throughout the world, the poverty problem will be greatly improved.
In conclusion, I believe that what I should do to eliminate poverty is to continue to work with the support groups we have now to find better ways to help.
Also I will do what I can do now to become a leader in poverty issues in the future.
