『Can get improvement from Ireland project』
This purpose of the paper is comparing Ireland and Japan approach to SDGs and the project identifies problem in Japan, leads to measures for improvements.
I was in Ireland for one year and I have been exposed Irish cultures. In Ireland I have learnt how to approach to SDGs. Ireland encountered hunger in 1845. It’s called Potato famine.
At that time, they ate potato as main dish. They attempted to grow more potatoes. However, they grew potatoes just one breed. This would be a big problem. After that, mostly potatoes got serious epidemics. A lot of Irish people could not eat it and died by hunger. But nowadays, Ireland has invested with gene bank of livestock, Infrastructure of agricultures and developing new technology to boost agriculture producing of abilities in developing countries.
In addition, minister of agriculture in Ireland have been progressing programs that develop agriculture food in Africa (AADP). Irish government support to build market and multiple commerce to foster partnership and sustainable developing. In 2017 four % of ODA were used to agriculture of developing country. In my opinion, Ireland contributed to develop agriculture for developing country. However, Ireland is smaller than Japan aspect of acreage and even does not have grate skills for agriculture. But why Ireland exceeds percent of Japan.
I think that Ireland population spreads modestly beyond Dublin(capital city) and success to inherited how improve this culture from ancestor to now. Actually, this topic has been talked by many Irish. Conversely, has been so preoccupied with the development of city that it has neglected its agricultural traditions.
In conclusion, Japanese government has to encourage agriculture and change situation. If not try to that, we will encounter hunger and famine.
