I believe that education needs to change in order to achieve as many of the SDG's goals as possible. Conversely, I believe that if we can change education, the day when we can achieve all the SDG's goals is not so far away. This is because many children, who will carry the future, will become adults after receiving education. When those children grow up, if they have the right knowledge to make new political decisions and pass on that knowledge to the next generation, the world will change drastically and we will be able to achieve the goals that we need to achieve.
In my opinion, there are two main types of education: school education and family education. There are two main types of education in my opinion: school education and home education. This is because children spend most of their time at school and at home. First, education at school. In Japan and many other countries, the education system is set up by national institutions, which we cannot easily change. On the other hand, the second type of education, education at home, can be changed by the work of each of us. In order to do so, we must first acquire the correct knowledge ourselves. Then, we can pass on that knowledge to our own families. I believe that repeating this process is the first step to changing the world. So how can we acquire this knowledge? In this article, I will focus on SDG No. 5, "Achieve gender equality". However, I strongly believe that what I am about to discuss will lead to the solution of all SDG's issues, such as the problems of hunger and global warming. First of all, gender is a gender category based on assumptions and perceptions. As the figures show, Japan's gender gap index between men and women is significantly lower than that of other developed countries like Japan. In fact, there are still many companies in Japan where it is difficult for women to work. I think we need to improve this situation as much as possible. What should we do to improve this situation? First of all, it is important to eliminate prejudice and preconceptions. Many people in Japan still believe that men are smarter and more capable than women. However, in reality, there are many very talented women as shown in data from overseas studies. In order to reduce such prejudice, I think the only way is to participate in new programs and events on your own, throwing out old information and absorbing new information as much as possible. It will take a long time to get rid of prejudices and preconceived notions that have been acquired since I was a child. However, I don't think the world will change without starting with me.
I also think that I must not let this be the end of my hand. I must share what I have absorbed with my family, friends, and people I have never met. Furthermore, I believe that if those who have learned new information also pass it on to their families and friends, through repetition, everyone's awareness will change.
By doing so, we can change the national and governmental systems. When the majority of the people have a new way of thinking, the country and government will have no choice but to conform to that way of thinking. The small power of each individual combined will become a great power and will be able to change education. It will take decades or centuries to change so much. However, on a global scale, this period will be short-lived, and the future of the earth after that will be much longer. So we must take action ourselves. And we must continue to tell as many people about it as possible. We also need to ask those people to spread the word. One person's power may be small, but together we can become a very large force.
For the future of Japan and the world.
