『what we can do』
It is true that there are many children who were not educated in the world. 330 million children aged 5 to17 don’t go to school, and 1oku4sennman children live in the countries which have conflict, war, and disaster. If they can go to school, the educational environment is not enough because of lacking teachers, text, and classroom. We should think seriously about the issue because we are the same people even though we were born and raised different countries.
You might feel the issue is not involved with you, but you can do many things to solve the issue.
Firstly, we share the issue and let know many people about it. Some people say that we know the issue and think about it. However, we don’t know why, how, where the issue happens. We should know not only the fact the there is an issue but also background of the issue and concern in the future and lead to taking actions. We are educated in happy environment, so most people don’t realize the importance of education. If we spread information about the current situation in developing countries, why it happened, and what we can do to solve the issue, more people will be interested in it. This is one of the actions we can take right now, so people who don’t know what to do should try this first.
Secondly, you go there and support them. Some organizations in Japan offer the program we can experience national cooperation like educating children. If you participate in the program, you will learn a lot about the issue because there are things only those go there can know. For example, they can experience real local lifestyle, local food, and relations with local people. When you go there, you can learn about the culture and values that are different from usual, and you can understand the local people better. Not only to support children, but also to be a chance for your own growth.
Thirdly you can donate. If you donate to Japanese support groups or people working locally, they use it for local activities. However, in some cases, donations are not being used well because they do not meet their needs. We have to know what they need and provide support that meets their needs. Support has been suspended due to the COVID-19, so donations are important now that regulations have been relaxed.
In conclusion, there are children who can’t go to school, and the educational environment is not enough, but we must take action to solve the issue. We can do many things for children in developing countries, for example we can share the fact of the issue and spread a deep understanding of it, we can go there through program which the organization offer and donate to organizations. What we can do is both small things and big things. I think it would be good if I take actions that suited me.
Our actions can change the future of children in developing countries. Our little power makes a big impact.
